The Mawal Foundation

For more than 65,000 years, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have sustained complex systems of stewardship by managing resources, navigating risk and caring for Country across generations. These aren't just cultural traditions, they are leadership practices grounded in responsibility, balance and long-term strategic thinking.

The Mawal Foundation is the charitable arm of Mawal and works to bring these practices forward into contemporary economic systems. We work alongside Indigenous communities to expand opportunity and strengthen economic participation through partnerships, capability initiatives and community-focused programs that are built around the communities they serve.
